Configuring and Styling a Layer

Once you have created your layer in Mapworks, you may want to configure your layer. For example, you may want to retain a certain styling, set when it becomes visible/hidden, or change the default name for the layer.

To do this, click on the layer listing from My Library (note the layer icon in the listing).

Upon clicking the layer, you will be greeted with the Layer Edit mode :

From here, you can configure various aspects of your chosen layer:

  • Configure: Adjust the name, description and the visible scale of the layer
  • Fields: Adjust the visibility of data fields and how they will appear
  • Styles: Configure the default styling for the layer
  • Thematics: Create thematic styling for the layer.
