Navigation Toolbar

Overview

The Navigation Toolbar appears in the bottom right of the application on top of the map. It has buttons for zooming and navigating between views as well as buttons which open tool menus for jumping to coordinates and bookmarks.

• Zoom In / Out – zoom the map in or out

• Previous / Next View – move through recent map view history (map view is recorded when a pan or zoom is completed)

• Full Extents – zooms the map view to the maximum extents of the map

• Current Coordinates – displays the current coordinates of your cursor. Click on the coordinates to change display units

• Scale Bar - The length of the scale bar indicates the distance shown within the scale bar. Clicking on the scale bar changes the units.

Jump to Coordinates

• Unit Mode – change coordinate unit
• Current Coordinates – copies the coordinates at centre of current view to the fields below
• Go to Coordinates – jump to coordinates entered in the fields below

• Scale – zoom to specified scale

Bookmarks

Save map views as bookmarks to return to later. Toggle the star on a bookmark to select it as the default view when loading the map.

To create a bookmark:

1. Pan to the desired map view and zoom scale
2. Click Bookmarks in the Toolbar in the bottom right
3. Click Add Bookmark

3. Enter the Bookmark Name
4. Click Create
